Door explanation
Door
The door I designed travels up and down two rails that connect to the roof. It is made for a place which has constant busy people walking around that will be carrying books and bags making it hard for them to push or pull open a door. The door itself would most proberly be glass as this allows the people using it to see through and look at who is coming. A sensor located at the top of the door opens as a person gets to a certain point away from the door. Obviously there is a spot that the people cant walk over because the door would hit into them.

Door Sketches
This skecth shows a door that swings on rails. The rails are magnetic so the door can slide up them without touching the, making the movement quiet and easy. Its context could be in an office or school where people carry around alot of books and dont have hands. The door will be triggered by sensors.
This sketch shows a door that opens using blocks that slide up. Using maybe a sensor or a button. It could be on the side of a garage or on the interior of a house or office.
This shows a rotating door. It can be interior or exterior context. It rotates around the centre of a pole. Could be made of any material.
This image is a door-ramp. The actual door opens and swings down like a ramp. This is placed in a hoospital for people on weel chairs that dont want to go up to the door and open a handle. It is trigged by a sensor.
This is a different type of door as it is made for a cupboard not a human. It slides up and down leaving a part of the cupboard always open. Here we can see cups and mugs.
